Welcome to my site.  My name is Matthew Snell.  All the songs you hear on this site were done by me.  I wrote them.  I played all the parts.  I recorded them.  I mixed them.  I produced them.  With one exception...a beautiful little girl I know quite well named Alexandra is the sweet voice you hear on The Age Of The Fall. ​Most of the material I write is positive, life affirming and Christ-centered.  Hopefully, you will find that these songs still kick some serious ass.​

I grew up listening to Iron Maiden, Blue Oyster Cult, KISS, a host of metal bands and, oddly enough, classic 70's pop.  I found that my ears preferred the craft of song rather than the vapid "Rolling Stone, I got something to say" tripe.  I remember one late Saturday night in college I heard a song by Fates Warning.  The song blew me out of the water, forever changing my musical preferences.  I had discovered something quite special.  As my taste in music became more directed to the progressive and power side of metal I discovered such bands as Savatage, Kamelot, Evergrey and any other power/prog band I could wrap my ears around.  What I am attempting to bring to the table is to take as many influences as I've had and put them all in a blender to create something new, original, refreshing and uplifting.
